WHAT IS WAGYU?
Wagyu is a specific breed of cattle from Japan that produces beef renowned for its intense flavor and marbling. ‘Wagyu’ refers to all Japanese beef cattle, where ‘Wa’ means Japanese and ‘gyu’ means cow. You may also come to know it as “phenomenal.”
IS WAGYU THE SAME AS KOBE?
All Kobe is Wagyu, but not all Wagyu is Kobe. Wagyu is the breed of cattle from which Kobe beef comes from, however, to be labeled Kobe beef it must meet strict guidelines of being born, raised, and slaughtered in the Hyogo Prefecture of Japan, whose capital city is Kobe. Wagyu beef from the United States can never be called Kobe beef.
HOW IS WAGYU A HEALTHIER BEEF?
Wagyu is a highly marbled beef; the type of fat in Wagyu makes it an unmatched eating experience, as well as a healthier beef product. Health experts have discovered that the percentage of mono-unsaturated fat (also found in olive oil, avocados, and nuts) is much higher than in other types of beef. It is also rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, which can help the body against heart disease and high blood pressure.
WHAT ARE YOUR CATTLE FED?
Our cattle are pasture-raised and grain-finished. The feed ration we use is all-natural and scientifically-balanced and was carefully developed by our specially-trained nutritionist who has studied Japanese feeding and husbandry practices for over 25 years. We do not use growth hormones or any unnatural substances in the feed.
HOW WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?
All orders are scheduled for Standard Shipping (Ground / 1-3 business days). If a different shipping option is needed, please contact us directly…upgrade fees will apply. We only ship out orders Monday – Wednesday. Orders must be received by 1:00 PM EST to be shipped out same day. All orders are shipped in individually vacuum-sealed packages frozen in an insulated cooler with dry ice. Some or all of the dry ice may be evaporated (which is normal especially in the hot summer days). If your product is thawed upon arrival, please contact us immediately for instructions.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
Due to the nature of our product, we are not able to take returns back into our shipment facility. If you feel a product you received does not meet our guarantee, please contact us at 1-417-425-8794 or firstname.lastname@example.org within 30 days of the receipt of your product and our team will gladly assist you beginning the refund/review process. Occasionally, we will require product to be returned to our operations department for review. If it is determined a return is necessary, our team will provide a shipping label, packaging and facilitate a pickup with our shipping carrier for the product to be returned. Once the product is received and reviewed, a credit will be issued or replacement product will be shipped to customer. Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the receipt of product. The review process will take no longer than 14 days from date of initiation. Once a review has been completed a) replacement product will be shipped, b) a refund will be issued to original form of payment, or c) store credit will be issued within 48 hours.
HOW DO I THAW MY STEAKS?
The best way to thaw your beef is to place in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. Briskets will take much longer. If you just can’t wait, keep your steaks in the vacuum-sealed package and submerge in a bowl of cold water for a few hours.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PREPARE THIS WONDERFUL BEEF?
Wagyu does not need much in the way of preparation. We recommend simply using sea salt and fresh ground pepper for seasoning on both sides and cooking to your temperature liking…although we strongly feel that Medium-Rare to Medium is the perfect temperature for enjoying Wagyu beef.

- Product orders totaling $1 to $99 will be charged $35 for UPS Ground shipping.
- Product orders totaling $100 to $199 will be charged $25 for UPS Ground shipping.
- Product orders totaling $200 or more will have no charge for UPS Ground shipping.
- If a faster shipping service is requested, upgrade fees will apply.
